The day from hell updated
I didn't mention this yesterday being as I was so upset but there is more to the story. The day before we left Key Largo we went to Publix to stock up for the trip. I was in a hurry and didn't read the label so I just grabbed a box of Honey Graham Crackers off the shelf. The night before we left I made myself a treat of Honey Graham crackers and peanut butter. It turns out they were Low Fat Graham Crackers and probably were well beyond the sell date. In any event the last 50 miles of the trip I had the beginnings of Montezuma's Revenge rumbling around below. After I got the coach set up I walked down to the car and jacked it up on one side to see if I could engage the driveshaft so I could drive it into the park. While reaching and straining at arms length I felt some uncontrollable movement below. I wound up gently placing those shorts and underpants in the trash and taking a good shower. Now for the good news. What are the odds of the following taking place? I got on the internet and found a couple of mobile rv repair places. The first guy I called answered the phone. I explained my problem and he said not to worry, he would send his son over in the morning. He sent his son over this morning, he backed the car up on some ramps and showed me the problem. Remco had a 10 cent clip holding the control rod together and it had broken off. He said the proper way to do it would be to drill a hole in the rod and put a stainless steel cotter pin in it. He did so and in a matter of half an hour the problem was solved and hopefully solved permanently. As usual will keep you posted.
