Not much going on here on Chokoloskee. The weather has been unseasonably warm with temps in the upper 70's and low 80's. We made a short trip to Ochopee Florida which is just down the road on the Tamiami Trail. Ochopee has two attractions. One is Joannie's Blue Crab cafe which has been around since the age of the dinosaurs. The building looked like it and the decor was early deliverance. Swallowing our doubts and relying on it's published reputation for good food we chose a table on the back porch. The food lived up to it's reputation so I'll post some photos we took there.

While there we stopped at the Ochopee Post Office which claims to be the smallest Post Office in the US. It is staffed daily by an Indian woman. I have no idea how she can stand to sit in there all day but here is a photo of the Post Office.

On the way back we stopped a sign that said Indian Village. There wasn't any Indian Village but there was a wooden walkway that went back into the Everglades. Nothing to report there but there was a nice gator with it's family of little laying on the bank sunning so I got a decent photo of mom and babies. The babies are the little pile of stuff right in front of mom's head.
