The rain and cold continues but high winds have been added to the list of woes. First came the rain. Then came 35 to 55 mph winds. Then came the cold. Morning lows are running in the 40-42 range. Daytime highs are in the mid 50's but with the complete cloud cover and brisk winds it feels colder. We had a break in the weather last week on Thursday. Just in time too. The woman was suffering severe cabin fever symptoms and a break in the routine was desperately needed so we took in the RV show held at the Lee County Civic Center. One of the displays was a 1928 Ford Model T Camper. Photos below.

We had another break in the weather yesterday so we made a day trip to Punta Gorda. Punta Gorda is a nice small town about 24 miles north of Fort Myers. It's a sort of Venice wannabe. Not having a historic downtown area they built a open air mini mall on the waterfront and filled it with artsy craftsy shops. After being cooped up for days with the rain and wind it was a break but compared to Venice it wasn't much. We did manage to have a nice fish platter at the Captains Table which I would give at least and 8 or 9 rating. Photo below.

No day trip would be complete without recording the ever photogenic current wife posing. Photos below.
