The Fun Is Over

The fun is over, time to get back to reality. Income taxes to pay, driveways to repair and, at the very least, trying to appease the DREADED YARDBOSS. Spring is around the corner and much like a bear that comes out of it's winter den hungry and ill natured delicate flower emerges from her lair and turns into the DREADED YARDBOSS at the first sign of the days getting longer. I can forsee digging holes and planting stuff that requires watering and fertilizing and lots of care and attention in my future. Ah well, this too shall pass. We finished up our little winter vacation at Orange Beach Alabama. We had never been there and for years I had heard how nice it was so we decided to try it. As an added enticement to swing west to Orange Beach my high school class president was wintering there so we linked up with them and spent a morning catching up on old times. They were staying at the Perdido Beach Resort which is a fabulous place that goes on forever. The short story is it has all known amenities that a luxury resort can offer.    We stayed at an interesting place called the Heritage Motor Coach Resort. It's an interesting concept that I fail to see the logic of. Each space has a Casita type of building that comes with the space. The space alone is around 200k, the casita ranges from 60-90k and if you want a dock space with boat lift that is another 90k. A waterfront space with all the bells and whistles can run as much as 459k. Most of the people park their half million dollar motor homes here leave them only using them sort of like a winter condo. Makes no sense to me. I'd just as soon have a condo and use the motor coach for traveling. In any event I'll post a couple of photos we took and get ready to pack up and head home.
