Cedar Key

We have definitely left the tropics. We arrived at Cedar Key around 3:00 o'clock in the afternoon. A cold arctic wind was blowing and the temperature was 20 degrees cooler than Fort Myers. Worse yet my thermostat went out on the heat pump just as we were leaving Fort Myers so we were facing an evening in the tundra without heat. I dug up a small ceramic heater from one of the storage bins but she who must be obeyed wouldn't let me run it all night so by morning it was about 40 degrees in the RV. It is an interesting sight to watch how cold affects delicate flowers. They start wilting and curling inside themselves until all that is left is what appears to be a bag of laundry under the covers with 2 little eyes peering out. Naturally it was all my fault through some failure on my part that she had to suffer through an arctic winter with no heat. I should have taken care of it before we left home and we should have stayed in Fort Myers where it was warm and got the thermostat fixed before we left and why do all these things happen to us every time we go anywhere. And so on. All these trial and tribulations were made up by the great day we had today. The weather warmed up, the clouds went away, the sun shone and we had a fabulous lunch in Cedar Key at the Purple Pelican. Mary had a salad with a peanut butter and ice cream dressing. Photo below. I had a seafood medly consisting of scallops, shrimp, grouper and clams. Again, photo below. I'm going to swing by Walmart on the way to church and pick up and pick up another heater so that dearly beloved can be kept a little warmer.
