Living The Good Life In South Florida

View from the breakfast terrace
While the less fortunate of my friends and relatives are huddled around their furnace ducts trying to keep warm we are living in a tropical paradise. 79 degrees, soft tropical breezes and blue skys. The palm trees and tropical foliage is like frosting on a cake, it finishes the job and provides the perfect ambiance. Driving down the beach highway with the top down on the convertible almost makes me feel sorry for the less fortunate up north. Almost. In the evening while I am sipping on my Vodka Gimlet and watching the sun setting over the gulf my heart is filled with guilt. Almost. Below are a few photos of Fort Myers Beach. They have really fine white sand on this side of Florida. It almost hurts the eyes to look at it.
