Wild Turkeys At Cardinal Ridge
It's been a long time since the last post. We have had  a never ending series of commitments this year. In January and February we both had Cataract surgery.  In March we went to Florida for about a month. On the way home we took a detour to Mobile to view Bellingrath Gardens. We attended Michael Stewart's High School graduation in June. Mary went to Charleston and Folly Beach with her favorite daughter in July and in late July I attended my class reunion in Westfield Wisconsin. Ok, so much for old news. My reason for living and I are currently sitting on the side of a beautiful mountain just south of Franklin North Carolina. We have a gorgeous view over a valley to a range of mountains on the other side. We are staying at Cardinal Ridge RV&B which means it's a small RV park that serves breakfast in the morning. Not only is it breakfast it is organic breakfast complete with eggs grown on site and honey from beehives on site. The host and hostess of this little garden of Eden are Ken and Kathleen. They are probably two of the most interesting people I have ever met and those of you that read our posts from last October will recall all the details of their past. Ok, on to current events. Yesterday we went to Clayton Georgia and Highlands. Clayton Georgia has what may well be the largest Ace Hardware in the world. They have a housewares section that would rival Bed Bath and Beyond. They even have a furniture store in the same building. From there we went to Highlands North Carolina but we had our tour cut short by a rain shower. On the way home we got a nice shot of Bridal Veil Falls. Photos below with captions underneath.
