Bill and Mary with Jay Jay the Steward
Day 7. Today we drove up into Glacier Bay and saw one of the larger glaciers in Alaska. We took several good pictures which I will enclose at the end of this commentary. We saw a few smaller chunks of ice break off but no large " Calving " types. Once again the weather was terrific what with clear skies and warm sunshine. The scenery gets better with each passing day with craggy snow covered mountains rearing higher with each passing day. The cruise is going very well with no complaints on food or service. I should point out one anomaly of salt water cruising we did not prepare for. It seems the salt in the air interacts with cotton fibers and causes your clothes to shrink. Both Mary and I have noticed this phenomenem. I hope they return to their former size once we get back on dry land or I'll have to buy a new wardrobe.
