I walked across the Appalacian Trail

Had an absolutely incredible day yesterday. We spent the day in the company of the world renowned author of books on investing in the stock market Walter Deemer and his wife Bobby. Walter is the Ravi Shankar Guru of technical analysis of the stock market. We started the day out a with  high calorie, high fat, high gluten, high sugar content breakfast prepared by Kathleen Hayes the hostess of Cardinal Ridge. After gorging on a king sized omelette and baked apple french toast we drove up to the top of Wayah Bald mountain which has an incredible view of the surrounding mountains and the valley below. While there I walked across the Appalacian trail, the entire width of it. A side note here. Smart phone GPS devices are worthless once you are out of range of a cell phone tower. If you are going out into the hinterlands take a satellite GPS system with you. On the way back we stopped at the Nanthahala White Water rafting facility. While there we watched the rafters and the kayakers coming down the river while having a great lunch on the restaurant deck. Photos of all this activity will be posted at the end.
