Ireland Day 7 Comments
Even yet another fabulous day in Ireland. The sun shone intermittently and the rain fell intermittently but the sun shone for the photo ops so everything fell into place. After a full Irish Breakfast at The Lodge B&B we hit downtown Kenmire so the women could do the necessary shopping for gifts for the folks back home. Bruce and I had coffee and scones while the women did their thing. I'm getting to like scones and will avail my current wife to learn how to make them. In the afternoon we hit the road to travel the Ring of Kerry. The Ring of Kerry is a coastal highway that hugs the coastline of Ireland and is pretty much a trail carved out by the native sheep that has been blacktopped. The scenery and the vistas are awesome but the one lane road is a nightmare. If a car comes the other day one of you has to either back up or pull off the road. Dinner was eaten at one of the local Pubs in downtown Kenmire. A photo of the meal I ate is posted below. The fish was called Hake and it was delicious. I've never had Hake back in the states.
