Ireland Day 10 Comments
Day 10 was mostly a drive day with our final destination being Ballynanich Castle which is in the Galway area. As usual we saw a lot of interesting scenery during the day but for the most part it was just a drive day. The evening before we took in an Irish version of dinner theater with some great singing of Irish ballads and Riverdance style clog dancing. The Irish write good sad songs and many of their ballads are rather mournful. The Irish are a lot like the Russian peoples in that they are strong into drink and tales of woe and misfortune. This just about wraps our little trip up as tomorrow is the long drive to Dublin to catch the plane back to the US early Friday morning. It's been one of our better vacations and I can highly recommend Ireland as a good vacation destination. For now I'll say goodbye and may the Ishker Vahr flow freely and often for all of you. Ishker Varhr is the Gaelic words for whiskey which translated means " Water Of Life ".
