Ireland Day 3

Lots of good pictures, great weather but not all that much to write about. We rented a BMW Diesel at the Dublin airport, got loaded up and hit the road for Waterford Ireland to tour the Waterford crystal glass factory. Bruce, being the leader of this pack, did the driving which was very, very interesting for all concerned. In Ireland they drive on the left and have no four way stops. They use roundabouts instead. In the states we call them traffic circles. Oddly enough we feared them the worst and they turned out to be the easiest part of driving in Ireland. Once you figure out that the first exit is a left turn, the second exit is a go straight and the third exit is a right turn you are in fat city. If you go to the fourth exit you have made a U turn. Their main roads are four lane and traffic moves along fairly quickly. The lanes are narrower than we are used to but for the most part they work fairly well. We made it to Waterford in decent time it didn't take Bruce long to get the hang of driving on the left. He'll probably be all screwed up back in the states but that is a problem for the future. The Waterford Crystal factory tour was very, very interesting. See photos below. After we finished at the Waterford factory we stopped at a local pub names Geoff's. Photo of the Blue Cheese Burger is below. A picture is worth a thousand yards. From there we drove to Cliff House Bed and Breakfast and spent the night. Again, photos below. Five star accommodations, five star view and five star breakfast the following morning. My reason for living did not find any boots in Waterford so she is still not in style yet.
